Rouen Dragons announced club fired coach Rodolphe Garnier and replaced him with current junior department manager and U22 team coach Ari Salo. Salo will be assisted by General Manager and former coach Guy Fournier.
Garnier, 46, coached Rouen in the past six seasons, one of the most successful in the history of the club, winning 4 Ligue Magnus, 3 Coupes de la Ligue, 1 Coupe de France, 2 Match des Champions and the Continental Cup in 2011/2012, the first ever international trophy for a French club. Prior to arrival on the bench of Dragons, Garnier coached Caen, where he quitted his active career as player, and Appiano in Italy
This season Dragons are 10th after eight round in Ligue Magnus
"Everybody knows coach is a tough job I have great respect for the work done by Rodolphe here. He won four championships with Rouen, they are not much? well...try to do the same. And he also survived six years at the club, it's pretty rare. " said Fournier
