Rungsted gets license to play in the Danish AL-Bankligaen next season.
AL-Bankligaen will have nine teams next season. Yesterday Rungsted were given license to participate. That is confirmed by Thomas Friberg, the director of the club.
"We are very pleased that the license committee has approved our budget and see we're doing a sustainable budget", says Friberg to AL-Bankligaen.dk.
"Three years is a long time to be out of the league, and we look forward obviously a lot to return to the league. We've been working really hard since March and got a lot of support from sponsors", he adds.
As Thomas Friberg previously outlined, Rungsted plans to get former players of the club to return, combined with talents, foreigners and some established Danish players. An assistant coach is in place, while the head coach position still is open.
