Elitserien: 13 goals in Gothenburg

Elitserien: 13 goals in Gothenburg

Many games with few goals in Elitserien so far, but tonight it was one big exception when Frölunda came back from 3-6 down to win 7-6 against MoDo.

HV71 - Skellefteå 1-0

In a game between two expected top teams only one goal was scored. Marcus Nilson scored the game winner for the home team and Gustaf Wesslau did another great game in goal for HV71. Skellefteå missed several leading offensive players and played with many juniors.

Rögle - Färjestad 5-2

Rögle made a good effort and won 5-2 at home to Färjestad. Tom Preissing scored two power plays. Färjestad had a 2-1 lead in the second period but lost anyway. Coach Leif Carlsson said "We went here to win. But we lost the battle in front of both goals and that isn't good enough if you are to take three points".

Frölunda - MoDo 7-6 OT

A crazy game with 13 goals. MoDo had the lead 4-1, 5-2 and 6-3 but still lost it. Decisive was that Frölunda managed to score two goals in 22 seconds just after MoDo's sixth goal. Dick Axelsson scored four points for Frölunda.

Linköping - Luleå 2-3 OT

In a close game Luleå took two points after a late equalizer by Toni Koivisto and an overtime winner by Pavel Skrbek.

Växjö - Timrå 2-1 OT

Robert Rosén scored a lucky overtime winner for Växjö that gave Timrå their first lost of the season. A well deserved win for Växjö that had 33-13 in shots on goal. All Timrå's games has gone to overtime.
