Karel Gut, Ivan Hlinka, Vladimír Růžička, Miloš Říha or Vladimír Vůjtek. The Czech Republic gave the world many renowned coaches. The most active of them are surely Mr. Luděk Bukač and his son, who publish movies and books in the English language and offer them to their foreign colleagues.

Luděk Bukač senior is one of the most famous Czech coaches and hokey teachers. He won the gold medal as a coach for Czechoslovakia in 1985 and even for the Czech Republic in 1996. He also taught the national teams of Germany and Austria. In his teams he led more than 40 hokey players of the NHL, including Jaromír Jágr.

A big part of seniors and juniors teaching method is the two part cycle of the “Innovative Teaching of Ice Hockey”. The first part is the Variable Goals Training Model, which provides new organizational methods of teaching tactics and skill. Boys and girls learn complex movements in the game including dodges and tricks with the puck. The program includes 35 different exercises.

The second part is dedicated to the Dryland preparation for the game technique. This training includes dynamic exercise, lunges, power exercises, balance control and many more exercises that strengthen the neuromuscular activity, which the authors claim it’s the building block of the ice hockey technique. The DVD shows this exercise not on ice, but with the TPT model. Both of the two parts are in the English language.

The book “Innovative Teachings of Ice Hockey” focuses on a certain topic, the book Volume one is focused on dealing with the one-on-one situation from both the point of view of the attacking player, and the second volume on the point of view of the defenseman. The third volume is about the face off technique and the last released DVD is DVD is focused on proper skating technique, which is presented by professional hockey players Martin Ručínský and Petr Kadlec.
