VHL General Assembly appproved today the request from HK Lipetsk to join league from next season.
The approval is under some conditions: club is obliged to complete the reconstruction of the Ice Arena "Star", which now does not meet the regulations of VHL. In addition, the club must provide a guarantee of a budget of at least 70 million rubles, which is almost three times larger than the current one.

Head coach of Belarus Andrei Skabelka won't have his contract renewed by the Federation
"Federation doesn't offer a contract extension. Conversation took place about a possible further development. But it is believed that the team should be lead by a foreign coach" - said Skabelka.
Rumours are about a comeback of Canadian Glen Hanlon who was Belarus headcoach from 2004 to 2006 and in 2008. Last week Hanlon left his charge at Vancouver Giants saying he accepted a work in Europe

Admiral: with 72,2 % of the voting this is the name choosen by fans for the new club debuting in KHL next season. The name get the best of other two candidates, Kosatki (killers) and Forpost. The final decision about new name and the logo will be taking by the club and the players themselves.

ERC Ingolstadt announces new coaches staff for next season: 40-years-old Swedish Niklas Sundblad will be the headcoach, assisted by his fellow countryman Petri Liimatainen. The duo worked together at Kölner Haie in 2010 when both were assistants. Liimatainen then coached in Sweden, while Sundblad remained at Kölner Haie
"I had good years in Köln, could learn a lot and gain experience, I am very grateful. Now it's time to take on a new challenge. The ERC Ingolstadt is a top team in the DEL, it's great that I get the chance" said Sundblad.

The USHL Clark Cup champions Dubuque Fighting Saints announced they have accepted the invitation to play in the 2013 Junior Club World Cup tournament in Omsk, Russia that will take place August 24-31.
"We're honored to receive an invitation to the Junior Club World Cup in Omsk," said Dubuque Fighting Saints President Dan Lehv. "For our organization to be showcased on this international stage is incredibly exciting. We are proud to represent the United States Hockey League and the City of Dubuque in the third annual event. Our players, coaches and staff are looking forward to the experience of a lifetime."
Dubuque will be seeded in Group A along with the Omsk Hawks, Vitkovice and HK Riga
