Goals and assists
Dundee Stars secured a home derby win over Fife flyers to move level on points with their Scottish rivals thanks to a 4-2 win at the Dundee Ice Arena.
The opening period, in front of a crowd of almost 2,000, was scoreless between the two local rivals. 3:39 into period two, Drydn Dow was the sleeper at the far post and fed by Phillipe Sanche for the back-post finish to open the scoring. Elijah Barriga smashed a shot past Shane Owen on the powerplay at 35:52 through a crowd of bodies to give the home side a two-goal lead, although Janne Kivilahti got the Flyers back into things with 45 seconds left in the period.
Ian Parker re-established the home side's two-goal cushion 6:29 into the third with a shot that sneaked through Owen's five-hole, potentially fooling the Flyers' goalie with a slower shot than looked to be coming. Zeck Phillips nicely finished a two-on-one with 3:15 to play to bring the visitors back to within one again, but with the goalie pulled a bad pass at the boards allowed Carter Folk to feed Sanche to skate into the zone and slot into the empty net to round things off.
