Game recap

Nottingham Panthers ensured they ended Week 25 with five points thanks to a shutout win at home to Belfast.

Patient play from Georgs Golovkovs set up Adam Deutsch for the opening goal just 602 seconds into the game, and the Panthers' excellent start saw them go two ahead at 12:13 through Julian Talbot on the powerplay.

Recent arrival Mathieu Tousignant fired past Shane Owen from the faceoff circle shorthanded 4:20 into the middle period to put the Panthers in control, after which Giants' Head Coach Adam Keefe called a timeout. Dylan Malmquist made it four with as many minutes left in the period.

Stephen Murphy entered the Giants' net for the final period and although he kept the home side out the visitors were unable to find a way on to the scoreboard themselves.
