Game recap

The Panthers moved a step closer to making sure they’ll be in the playoffs with a comfortable home win over Dundee, who slip a place after the defeat.

Goals from Kevin Henderson and Alex Boluc at 8:28 and 11:17 respectively helped the Panthers, who needed two points to ensure playoff qualification, into a two-goal lead after the opening 20 minutes in front of over 5800 people at the Motorpoint Arena.

Dylan Richard made it 3-0 at 34:07, before a Chris Stewart powerplay goal with 1:52 left in the middle period had Rick Strachan’s team four ahead.

Dundee grabbed a consolation through Brian Hart with 2:40 left in the third period as the Panthers took the points they needed to secure their playoff place.
