The murder of Bulgarian National team goalie is still without a responsible after the acquittal of the only suspect
The Sofia City Court acquitted 24 years old Ilian Todorov from the murder charge of Vassili Alexandrov and 21 years old
Kirill Vajarov, Slavia Sofia and Bulgarian National team goalie, stabbed to death on 18 april 2009 outside the nightclub 'Solo' in Sofia. According to the court, there aren' t no conclusive evidence, even indirect, of the guilt of Ilian Todorov and there is no way to form a conclusive evidence. A video recorded by a secuirty camera shows the defendant Todorov, clearly visible, as is wearing a white shirt, got into a taxi and showed no action that can be likened to a stabbing.
Relatives of victims who wanted a few days ago the most severe punishment - life sentence - were extremely upset by the acquittal and declared the psychologist who did theTodorov profile received money from parents to compile a false report.
According to the defense evidences against Todorov are indisputable and judge Rumiana Chenalova did not pay enough attention, expressing doubt that video of security cameras was manipulated.
Vajarov's mother said that because of resources and contacts of Todorov's parents, the case may not arrive at Court of Appeals and the killer can escape abroad with a new identity
