Alexander Radulov scored two goals again when Russia defeated Sweden 4-1.
Alexander Radulov continued to show great form and followed up his two goals against Finland with two power play goals in the first period to give Russia a 2-0 lead. Calle Järnkrok was very strong when he brought Sweden back into the game early in the second period when he made it 1-2 despite being both hooked and held by an opponent.
Sweden tried to come back and tie the game but Russia was the individually stronger team and were much quicker on counter attacks. And with just over two minutes left to play Aleksandr Perezhogin finished a fast counter attack with a great backhand shot to make it 3-1. Sweden made a last effort and pulled the goalie, Radulov got the chance to score a hat trick but gave the puck to Sergei Shirokov who made the final score 4-1.
Finland will play Russia later today. Tomorrow Russia will play Czech Republic in a game that will decide who will win the tournament.
