Kaunas City celebrate the qualification to the second round of Continental Cup with a ten-goals victory over Skautafelag Rejkyavik
Group B of the Continental Cup ends in Kaunas with a parade of the hosts, who have already qualified, celebrate the historic result together with the fans. Skautafelag Reykjavik can only act as a sparring partner and try to limit the damage: this is what happens and the match is played at a slow pace, almost an exhibition. Kaunas secures the result with 5 goals in the first two periods, once again showcasing the goal instinct of the two most lethal players, the captain Lukas Zukauskas, acclaimed by the fans, and the Ukrainian Denys Honcharenko. Behind them, the Czech defender Daniel Klinecky made an excellent impression, a brilliant assistman with a good sense of goal.
In the third period the match becomes a goal celebration in which almost all the attackers of the home team participate, with the Icelanders almost always besieged to protect the goalkeeper Atli Valdimarsson, who replaced at minute 30 the starting goalie Johann Ragnarsson.
Reykjavik spoiled the party only for goalkeeper Martin Petiul denying the shootout, with Bjarki Johannesson's goal at 58:08
