Asiago closes the semifinal round with a convincing victory against the already eliminated Kremenchuk and awaits with interest now the clash between Unia Oswiecim and Nitra, which the Poles must absolutely win, to know their destiny

After 10 minutes, at the end of a power play with several chances, Asiago opens the score with a precise shot by Luke Moncada. A minute later, Misley has a capital chance but shoots on goalie Zakharchenko. The Italian team, which must win in order to access the Superfinals, while Kremenchuk is already eliminated, proves to have more energy and competitive malice and finds the second goal 2 minutes from the siren with Giordano Finoro well served by Allan McShane in front of the goal.

In the second period the script does not change, with Asiago always in control of the game. The third goal was inevitable, scored by Troy Rutkowski at 28:12. Misley also scored on the power play at 36:26.

In the final period the Kremenchuk, that changes the goalie, persistently seeks the goal of consolation, leaving a lot of space for Asiago for counter-attacks. Just in one of these the Italians score the fifth goal with a beautiful personal action by Michele Stevan at 46:46. Bravely the Ukrainians look for the goal until the end, but find the excellent saves of Fazio, determined to earn a shootout.

Thus ends the Continental Cup campaign of Kremenchuk that certainly did not deserve to finish without points, fighting in every game and putting opponents in difficulty.

As mentioned, Asiago closes at 6 points and will have to wait for the evening game to know if it will be enough
