Second consecutive title for the Eagles, after a battle with Arlan Kokshetau
Despite a struggling season off the ice, with Latvian coach Leonids Tambijevs left the team on the eve of post-season and Continental Cup Super Finals to accept the charge at Admiral Vladivostok, replaced by countryman Peteris Skudra, Saryarka Karaganda confirms the title of Kazakhstan League by beating Arlan Kokshetau, in a re-match of last season finals. For the first time since the 2016-2017 season, when Nomad Nur-Sultan became the champion having beaten Temirtau in a tense struggle, the finals lasted seven matches. Saryarka won 5-2 at home in the decisive game. It's the third title for the "eagles", back to play in the domestic league in 2020-21 after 7 seasons - and two titles - in Russian VHL.
