Czech Republic shuts out Sweden
Patrik Bartosak in the Czech net earned a shutout when his country beat Sweden 3-0 after two late empty net goals.
After seven minutes of play in Brno Czech Republic took the lead on a goal by Dmitri Jaskin. Henrik Lundqvist in the Swedish net was a bit unlucky as he redirected the puck inte the net with his left leg.
The second period was scoreless but Jaskin had another goal in the Swedish net that was disallowed because he kicked it into the net.
When Sweden pulled Henrik Lundqvist from the net the Czechs added empty net goals by Ondrej Palat and Jakub Voracek for the 3-0 win.
Tomorrow is the last day of the tournament with the games Sweden-Finland and Czech Republic-Russia.
