The 2017-18 ERSTE Liga finals has MAC Budapest facing DVTK Jegesmedvék for the league title. Since MAC won the regular season and have home ice advantage throughout the playoffs.

In the opening game of the series both teams had their top goalies in the net for the game. In the opening period in the game a Zsombor Garát shot from the blueline was redirected past goalie for the opening score. In the closing minutes of the period Krisztián Nagy scored a sneaky goal from behind the net to put MAC up 2-0. In the second period István Terbócs made it 3-0. Later in the period DVTK ended the shutout that Bence Bálizs had going as Rasmus Kulmala scored an even strength goal. In the opening minutes of the third period Nikandrosz Galanisz scored on a long shot to make it a one goal game. With less than two minutes left in the game DVTK called timeout and pulled the goalie for the extra attacker, however Tomas Klempa scored an empty netter for the 4-2 win.

In game two Bálizs and Attila Adorján were back between the pipes for their respective teams. DVTK scored first on the opening power play of the game with a nice tic-tac-toe play that ended up with Galanisz scoring a one timer. In the second period Galanisz scored his second of the game to make it 2-0 for the visiting team. Just before the midway point of the game Balázs Somogyi redirected a shot past Adorján to make it 2-1. Minutes later Somogyi put his own rebound in to tie the game up at 2-2, this time it was a shorthanded score. Tomas Klempa scored before the period was out as MAC flipped the score and took a one goal lead into the second intermission. Late in the third period with Brance Orbán serving 2+2 for a nightstick Jared Brown scored a short handed goal on a breakaway. MAC was protecting a two goal lead and just under ten minutes left and Orbán still in the penalty box DVTK pulled their goalie to take advantage of the 6 on 4, however Mathias Mansson scored a shorthanded empty net goal to make it 5-2.
