Clayton Beddoes appointed new coach of Italy
Former NHL player was assistant coach of the Blue Team in the last two seasons

Clayton Beddoes is the new head coach of Team Italy, replacing Stefan Mair, resigned last August after three season on the bench of Blue Team.
Beddoes, 46, assistant coach of Italy in the last three seasons, built his coaching career mainly in the Mediterranen country, where he closed his player career in 2001-2002 due to a shoulder injury. After 5 seasons in Germany, including one as head coach at Kolner Haie as replacement of Doug Mason, Beddoes coached Cortina and Vipiteno in Serie A. Former SG Cortina cult player Giorgio de Bettin will be the assistant coach, Finnish Jaakko Rosendahl, the goalie coach
The debut of new coaching team will be in Hungary next November, at the Euro Ice Hockey Challenge
