On the second day of the Junior Club World Cup in Russia Chicago Steel and TPS Turko got their second win. So did Avto Yekaterinburg, but only in overtime.
HK Riga - Chicago Steel 2-3 Chicago took the lead 1-0 and 2-1 but Riga tied it twice. Max Zimmer used a powerplay to score the winner for the Americans five minutes before the end.
Avto Yekaterinburg - Snow Leopards Astana 2-1 OT Avto and Snow Leopards scored a goal each early in the first period but then we had to wait until 2:44 of the overtime to see another goal when Roman Opalev made it 2-1 for the home team.
Chaika Niznhy Novgorod - Dinamo-Shinnik Bobruisk 3-1 Dinamo-Shinnik of Belarus took the lead in the middle of period one but Mikhail Smolin tied it just 4 seconds before the first break. Artyom Alyayev and Roman Gorbunov scored in period 2 and 3 to give the Russians a 3-1 win.
Djurgårdens IF - TPS Turku 1-3 Juho Niku in the TPS net made 30 saves when TPS of Finland beat Djurgården of Sweden. Santeri Sillanpää, Juho Virtanen and Matias Lehtonen got the goals for the winners.
