Ukraine has a new head coach: Federation called Aleksandr Savitsky on the bench of national team aiming the next World Championship Division I B held in Zagreb, Croatia in April 2016. Savitsky, 44, after a career spent mostly in hometown club Sokil Kyiv and Ak Bars Kazan, with stops in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Denmark, Sweden and Belarus, lead Ukraine U18 and U20 teams and Ukranian club like Kryzhynka Kyiv, Berkut and HC Kremenchuk, where he worked as GM in last two seasons becoming silver medallist in 2014-15. As player Savitsky partecipated in nine World Championships and won a Russian title with Bars Kazan in 1998
