When Metallurg Magnitogorsk beat Avangard Omsk today they became the fourth and last team to qualify for the KHL semi finals.

Metallurg won 2-0 to knock out the best team of the regular season from the KHL playoffs. Gleb Klimenko scored 1-0 for the guests assisted by Enver Lisin and Denis Platonov scored an empty net goal with just 4 seconds remaining on an assist by Alexei Kaigorodov.

Magnitogorsk will play Salavat Yulaev Ufa in one of the semi final series. The other will be played between Lokomotiv Yaroslavl and Atlant Mytischi.
