Last cut for Swiss junior squad made

Head coach John Fust and his assistant Luca Cereda announced the final roster for Team Switzerland yesterday. It will consist of 3 goalies, 7 defensemen and 13 forwards. Xeno Büsser, Fabio Högger, Igor Jelovac, Roger Karrer and Fredrik Sitje were cut from the Team and will travel back home. Here's the complete roster:

Goalies (3): Gauthier Descloux (Genève-Servette HC), Gilles Senn (HC Davos), Ludovic Waeber (HC Fribourg-Gottéron)

Defensemen (7): Phil Baltisberger (Guelph Storm/OHL), Michael Fora (Kamploops Blazers/WHL), Edson Harlacher (Kloten Flyers), Simon Kindschi (HC Davos), Mirco Müller (San Jose Sharks/NHL), Yannick Rathgeb (Plymouth Whalers/OHL), Jonas Siegenthaler (ZSC Lions).

Forwards (13): Marc Aeschlimann (HC Davos), Luca Fazzini (HC Lugano), Kevin Fiala (HV71/SWE), Jason Fuchs (HC Ambri-Piotta), Luca Hischier (SC Bern), Michael Hügli (EV Zug), Denis Malgin (ZSC Lions), Timo Meier (Halifax Mooseheads/QMJHL), Noah Rod (Genève-Servette HC), Kris Schmidli (Kelowna Rockets/WHL), Kay Schweri (Sherbrooke Phoenix/QJMHL), Pius Suter (Guelph Storm/OHL), Tim Wieser (Sherbrooke Phoenix/QMJHL).

The Swiss will play their first game against the Czech Republic on the 27th of December.
