The Ice Hockey Federation of Russia presented the official logo of the 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship that will take place in Moscow and St. Petersburg from 6 to 22 May 2016.

 
 
 
 

Russian Ice Hockey Federation has unveiled the official logo of the 2016 Hockey World Championship during a brief press conference. The final version of the logo is based on that introduced in Slovakia at the 2011 IIHF Annual Congress.

The logo features the famous landmarks of Moscow and St.Petersburg, the Spasskaya Tower of the Moscow Kremlin and the Troitsky Bridge with the Peter and Paul fortress. The crossed hockey sticks and the flying puck symbolise the upcoming exciting games and unforgettable emotions. The logo has been designed in the traditional style of the International Ice Hockey Federation using the colours of the Russian national flag blue, white and red said the Federation press service

The 2016 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship will take place in Moscow and St. Petersburg from 6 to 22 May 2016.
