Macedonia Federation is trying to organize a pair of friendly matches against Bosnia in next months
Newspaper Novamakedonija announced that Macedonia maybe plays the first official friendly ice hockey games this winter versus Bosnia and Herzegovina. The president Nikola Tasev of the Macedonian Hockey Federation HFM said, four friendly games versus BiH are already agreed but the games are not scheduled so far. Per two games should be played in Sarajevo and in Skopje, possible dates for the games are December or January and March.
Macedonia so far does not fulfill the requirements to participate in official IIHF World-Championsships. There is no adequate ice arena, and so far no functioning domestic Macedonian ice hockey league has been organized. The first attempt for a Macedonian hockey league was last year but after some games the league collapsed - HFM announced that this year the league will be started and organized seriously,
