Lions with a loss, Kloten finally gaining some altitude and Lakers hand over last spot to Fribourg
Kloten Flyers 3 – HC Davos 2
The Flyers have now won 3 games in a row and are getting closer to the top 8 teams after beating second placed HC Davos at home with 3-2. Tommi Santala scored his first goal of the season just 15 seconds into the game and Matthias Bieber made it a 2 goal lead after the first period. Corsin Casutt’s goal just little over a minute after the start of period 2 made it difficult for Davos
who have lost twice in a row now against both Clubs from Zurich. 2 minutes before the end of the period it was Samuel Walser with the first goal for Davos and ex-Flyer Felicien Du Bois made it 3-2 with less than 3 minutes to go but the Flyers kept the 3 points in Kolping Arena.
EV Zug 4 – ZSC Lions 0
In the top game of Tuesday, the Lions visited EV Zug and hoped for a good start with youngster Niklas Schlegel in goal as Lukas Flüeler is still injured. But tonight shouldn’t be his night all 4 goals of the game came from the Central-Swiss team. Robin Grossmann in the 15th, Nolan Diem in the last minute of the second period, Reto Suri midway of the third period and youngster Fabrice Herzog in the last second of the game sent the Lions home empty-handed.
HC Ambri-Piotta 1 – Rapperswil-Jona Lakers 3
Adam Hall’s goal for Ambri should be the first and only for the Leventina team. The Lakers scored 3 unanswered goals in the 2nd period by Samuel Friedli (24th), Niklas Persson (30th) and Nicklas Danielsson in the 39th to lift Rapperswil from the last spot in the NLA and leaves Fribourg-Gottéron behind.
