After disappearing for 42 years, the Swiss Hockey Cup celebrates it’s comeback.
In 1972 Genève-Servette won the last Cup in a two game series against HC Ambri-Piotta. For this years edition, all 22 National League A and B Clubs qualified automatically while the 10 League 1 teams went through qualification games. The winner of each game advances to the next round. The lower seeded teams have the home advantage and for the first round, the games allow local derbys which should be quite interesting for both the fans and players.
