The 2018 World Championship will be played in Denmark

The 2014 IIHF Annual Congress decided that Denmark will get to host the World Championship for the first time in 2018.
Denmark gets to host the World Championship for the first time ever in 2018. That was decided at the IIHF Annual Congress yesterday in Minsk.
The Danish bid got 95 votes while the only opponent, Latvia, got 12.
Main arena of the event will be the Royal Arena in Copenhagen that is under construction and expected to open in 2016. The other venue will be Herning.
