Kloten Flyers - HC Davos 3rd game 1/4 final

Flyers take Gerber's game misconduct as motivation and beat HC Davos at home

The story of the first period is a short one. 3 minor penalites, 13 shots from Kloten, a handful of shots from Davos, that was it.

The second period finally brought some much missed action, 3 minor penalties and a 5' penalty for excessive roughness and a game
misconduct by Klotens Goalie Martin Gerber. He had smacked Gregory Sciaroni backhand who went down after that. Jonas Müller
then took Gerber's place between the pipes.

With 35:56 minutes played, Davos' Lukas Sieber was benched for stick holding. Victor Stancescu was able to profit on the powerplay and score
the first goal of the game. The goal was given to Stancescu but was actually an own goal by Perttu Lindgren.

The third period continued where the second had ended, with penalties galore on both sides. With 55:31 Klote had the chance to play with a two-man
advantage and Simon Bodenmann made sure that at least one goal was scored. He was assisted by Tommi Santala and Mathias Bieber. With a minute to
go in the game, James Vandermeer and Gregori were sent to the bench for unsportsmanlike conduct. At the same time, the teams faced-off in the zone of Kloten.

Top Scorer Marcus Paulsson scored the lone goal for Davos 10 seconds before the end of the game, assisted by Ville Koistinen.

With this win, Kloten are in contention to to make the semifinals. Next game is in Davos on Tuesday.
