"Today it was a disaster, we weren't at the ice and it makes me pissed off", Sweden's coach Pär Mårts said. Finland's coach Erkka Westerlund was more pleased but quite modest in his words about the game "The numbers are perhaps a bit flattering for us. It was the last and we was a bit tournament tired but eventually we came in to the game", he said according to Hufvudstadsbladet.
In the late game the hosts defeated Russia 2-1. Petruzalek and Cervenka scored for the Czechs while Averin netted for Russia. Russia finished second in the tournament, Sweden third and the Czech hosts as a disappointing last place.
