Finland dominated the Czech Hockey Games completely with three wins and 10-1 in goal difference.
The game against rivals Sweden ended with an easy 5-0 win. Sweden's heaviest defeat since the World Championship final against Finland 2011. Finland dominated the first completly but only had 1-0 after a rebound goal by Leo Komarov. The second period was more even but then Finland instead scored three goals.
First Elias Fälth scored a own goal before Sakari Salminen finished off a two on one and Pekka Jormakka made it 4-0 on volley. In the third period Oskar Osala scored his second (was given the own goal) with 5-0 late on power play.
"Today it was a disaster, we weren't at the ice and it makes me pissed off", Sweden's coach Pär Mårts said. Finland's coach Erkka Westerlund was more pleased but quite modest in his words about the game "The numbers are perhaps a bit flattering for us. It was the last and we was a bit tournament tired but eventually we came in to the game", he said according to Hufvudstadsbladet.
In the late game the hosts defeated Russia 2-1. Petruzalek and Cervenka scored for the Czechs while Averin netted for Russia. Russia finished second in the tournament, Sweden third and the Czech hosts as a disappointing last place.
