In today's decisive game Japan beat Denmark 5-0 to win the Olympic qualifying group in Poprad Slovakia.
Denmark-Japan 0-5
The only that mattered of today's four was the one between Denmark and Japan. The Asian team was never threatened and won comfortabely 5-0. Hanae Kubo scored twice. Miho Shishiuchi, Yuka Hirano and Shiori Koike also got on the scoring sheet. In the net Azusa Nakaoku made 20 saves. Credit to Denmark for getting this far winning eight out of nine qualifying games.
Slovakia-Norway 3-5
The home team Slovakia finished last in Group C after losing 5-3 to Norway. The Slovak star Jana Kapustova did what she could scoring 2+1, but that didn't help. Hege Ask, Henriette Sletbak, Andrea Dalen, Helene Martinsen and the captain Line Bialik scored for Norway.
Germany-Kazakhstan 5-0
The German team had already secured the win of Group D after the first two games. The third game was easily won 5-0 against Kazakhstan. The Kazakh women only managed to fire ten shots on goal so it was no problem for the German goalies Jennifer Harss and Ivonne Schroder to share the shutout. Nina Kamenik and Andrea Lanzl scored two goals each. Sophie Kratzer also got a goal.
China-Czech Republic 2-3 (SO)
The Czechs finished second in the group after todays shootout win against China. Klara Chmelova got the winnning goal. Aneta Ledlova and Simona Studentova had given the Czechs a 2-0 lead before Xin Fang and Fengling Jin scored for China.
