MoDo hadn't lost a game in regular time for a streak of ten games. But today the streak ended despite a good performance on away ice. MoDo outshout HV71 39-28 but lost 3-4. MoDo tied the game twice but HV71 quickly regained the lead. Decisive was 3-2 by Marcus Nilson and 4-2 by Oscar Sundh within 1:12 in the third period.

Skellefteå keeps the lead in Elitserien after a 2-1 win away to Växjö who are stuck in bottom of the table after eight consecutive losses. Skellefteå had a solid 2-0 after the first period after goals by Petterström and Pettersson. But Skellefteå didn't play at their best and allowed Växjö to come back into the game, but Dennis Rasmussen's goal ten seconds into the third period was the only goal managed to score.

AIK took an important point but are still far away from a playoff spot when Luleå won the game in Stockholm after a penalty shootout. Jens Jakobs scored the game winner in a game were Luleå had the lead twice in regular time.
