There were only two KHL games on Tuesday. Dynamo Moscow with a minor setback against Sibir Novosibirsk.
It was the expected high victory for SKA St. Petersburg that received Amur Khabarovsk. Already at 3:08 the home side was in front with two goals before Jakub Petruzalek brought the guests onto the scoreboard with his first of two goals this night but even before the first intermission the game was more or less decided with a 4-1. In the first half of the middle period Amur came as close as to a 4-3 before three consecutive strikes made everything clear for SKA. Petr Prucha was the only one to score twice for St. Petersburg, Ilya Kovalchuk had two assists. For SKA it was the eight win in the last nine matches. For Amur the trend is the opposite as it was their 7th loss in the last nine matches.
Dynamo Moscow was beaten 2-3 in overtime by Sibir Novosibirsk. Before the last loss of Dynamo had come on 23 September against SKA St. Petersburg which is now only two points behind Dynamo with two games less played. And Dynamo can be happy that they didn't lose all points today. Although Mikhail Anisin had opened the score for Dynamo at 04:04 a double by Anton Malyshed and the European Player of the Month for September Jori Lehterä brought SIbir in front until 55:50. Two minutes later Dmitry Pestunov saved a point for Dynamo. At 62:41 Nikita Zaitsev earned the extra point for Sibir in overtime. For Sibir it was the third win in the last four matches.
