With a solid 5-2 win against Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk is now second in Chernyshyov Division with 19 points but they still do have a negative bilance (6 wins, 7 losses). Igor Mirnov was the decisive man with a hat trick in the first half our to give Ufa a 3-1 lead - Evgeny Blokhin had made it a one-goal difference. This year's first overall pick in the NHL Entry Draft, forward Nail Yakupov, scored another goal in his first season in professional ice hockey to make it 3-2 at 38:25. Artyom Gareyev and Nikita Filatov made everything clear for the hosts in the third period.

For Spartak Moscow it was the third game in a row where the regular time wasn't enough to find a winner. One day after the derby loss against CSKA, they beat Severstal Cherepovets 3-2 in overtime. Grigory Zheldakov had opened the score in power play for Spartak at 06:18. In the middle period Serverstal was more effective and turned the result around through Denis Kazionov and Alexander Ryazantsev who had already assisted in the Kazionov goal. Another power play situation led to the Spartak equalizer at 43:32 by Andrei Shefer. The following overtime took only 113 seconds before Shaone Morrisonn earned the extra point for the home side.

The almots 10,000 fans in Riga had to wait quite a long time for goals but in the end at least the home fans could be happy about the outcome of the match as Martin Karsums scored the game winner after 2:27 of the overtime. Still Dinamo could have also won all three points against Vityaz. Only at 58:32 did Nikita Dvurechensky tie the initial DR lead by Mathieu Carle eight minutes earlier.
