Atlant and Lokomotiv today’s KHL winners

Two games were played in KHL today. Atlant beat Dinamo Riga 5-2 to top the Tarasov Division ahead of Lokomotiv who beat Spartak 4-2.

 
 
 
 
Jonas Andersson scored his first two goals of the season when Atlant beat Riga 5-2 at home today. He scored his first at 01:40 and made it 4-2 in the middle of the third period. Atlant had taken a 3-0 lead in the first period after Janne Niskala and Alexei Mikhnov had added goals. In the final minutes of period two Riga scored both their goals. Martins Karsums made it 3-1 and Alexandre Giroux 3-2. Andersson made it 4-2 at 49:45 and with 30 seconds left to play Nikolay Lemtygov secured the 5-2 win with an empty-netter. Atlant leads the Tarasov Division with 14 points after 7 games.

On second place in the same division we find Lokomotiv Yaroslavl who today beat Spartak 4-2. Denis Bodrov scored 1-0 for the guests fromMoscow before Lokomotiv scored four unanswered goals. Alexel Kalyuzhny, Mikelis Redlihs, Yegor YAkovlev and Yegor Averin scored for Lokomotiv. Eduard Lewandowski made it 4-2 late in the third period. Artem Anisimov (Columbus Blue Jackets) played his first game for Lokomotiv since 2007 but didn't get any points.
