Bern leads now 2-1 in the best-of-seven series against the ZSC Lions; Langenthal still alive

SC Bern - ZSC Lions 3:0When Blaine Down was stopped by the goalie in the 30th, his shot became an unwanted help to Etienne Froideveaux who scored by a wrap-around goal. In the 49th Froidevaux again tried it with a wrap-around and the result was that his pass came to Tristan Scherwey who fired the puck into the net. A double pass between Ryan Gardner and Ivo Rüthemann brought the decision with a bit more than three minutes to go.

NLA relegation HC Ambrì-Piotta - SC Langenthal 1:3 Langenthal is back in the relegation series. As in the other top game of the day in Switzerland, the fans had to wait during the first "half" of the match. In the 32nd Roman Schlagenhauf opened the score for Ambrì but already three and a half minutes later Marco Gruber tied the match - the 1-1 was the result of the home goalie's surprise about this blueline shot. Late in the third period Tim Weber and Stefan Tschannen made it 1-3 and earned the first win of their team in this series.
