In an even begin both teams had good opportunities but failed to use them. So the fans had to wait until the 30th minute when Pascal Berger opened the score for theg guests from Bern. After a blue line shot from Philipp Furrer, Berger took the rebound and fired the puck into the right corner. Later the home side was pretty lucky as Bern let out a lot of chances - one of them by hitting the crossbar. With less than 10 minutes to go in the third period a face off led to the decision in the game and the series when again Berger was there after a rebound. With a bit more than 2 minutes left to go Fribourg tried everything by pulling out their goalie Cristobal Huet but without success as Christoph Bertschy's empty netter made it 0-3.
