Skellefteå AIK - AIK 1-4

It was an intensive game with a lot of shots at both end. But two good goalkeepers in Joacim Eriksson and Viktor Fasth kept the game tied after 40 minutes. But in the third it was Viktor Fasth who turned out the be the best goalie when AIK won the last period 4-1.

Josh MacNevin opened the scoring at 2:23 with a shot from the blueline. Bud Holloway tied the game on Skellefteå's only power play of the game. But it only took thre minutes until AIK took the lead again when Daniel Bång picked up a rebound and scored.

Former Skellefteå player Kent McDonell made it 1-3 when the home pushed forward and later also Tobias Viklund made it 1-4 on the empty net.

Brynäs - Färjestad 2-3 OT

Brynäs dominated most of the came but two goals from the unexpected goal scorer Stefan Meyer gave Färjestad a 2-1 lead after two periods. Meyer's second goal was scored off the back of Svedberg in Brynäs' goal.

The third saw an unlucky injury on Färjestad's goalie Christopher Nihlstorp. He was hit by the tip of stick who some way found the way through his helmet and hit in the eye. For the second game of the playoffs Nihlstorp left a game with an injury and was taken to hospital.

Fredrik Pettersson-Wentzel replaced and had a difficult start when he conceded 2-2 from Daniel Widing already after four minutes. But after that he was very good and made several key saves to keep Färjestad in the game. With 30 seconds left of the game he was almost beaten but Silfverberg's shot hit the post.

In the overtime both team had good chances, but Färjestad had the best one when Patrik Lundh missed a  penalty shot. But Lundh would get his revenge and three minutes into the second overtime period he scored the game winner picking up a rebound and skating around Pettersson-Wentzel scoring on the open net.
