Biel is now one point ahead of Genève while Lugano wins derby against Ambrì-Piotta

Fribourg-Gottéron - EHC Biel 3:5

Biel earned an important win to improve their chances to make this year's NLA playoffs. Despite the early Fribourg lead by Simon Gamache, Biel turned the game around until the end of the first period after goals by Ahren Spylo  and Sébastien Bordeleau. In the second Bordeleau added another goal for the 3:1. This seemed to give Fribourg extra motivation as they tied the game within four minutes through goals by Michael Knoepfli and Andrei Bykov. In a period rich of goals again Spylo and Marc Wieser gave Biel another two-goal lead they should keep until the end of the match to get all three points.

HC Ambrì-Piotta - HC Lugano 2:4

In front of a relatively low attendance of 2.637 spectators for a derby with such a long history, Lugano had only minor problems to secure their away win. After only 2:41 played Flavien Conne brought the guests in front and with five seconds left in the first Domenichelli increased the lead to two. Around "half time" it was Kevin Romy who made it 3-0 for Lugano. Gregory Hofman and Paolo Duca brought hope back for the hosts early in the third but later in the period it was Mauro Jörg who decided the game for Lugano.
