Game recap

Daniel Tedesco was involved in all three Belfast Giants goals that saw them get past Coventry Blaze in the final period at a sold-out SSE Arena.

Ben Lake got on the end of a Greg Printz feed as he was falling with 68 seconds played in the opening period. Coventry were level off Kobe Roth's stick after a quick video review to check the puck had squirmed under Tyler Beskorowany. The period was ended early after Jack Hopkins sustained an injury, but was given medical care immediately and was conscious before being sent to hospital.

A Josh Roach rocket put the Giants back ahead just over twelve minutes into period two, but again the Blaze battled back with an excellent Ian McNulty finish tying the game with 30 seconds left in period two.

Tedesco was then instrumental to the Giants going ahead in period three, and staying in the lead. With a delayed penalty on McNulty's Tedesco and Baum kept the puck on the blue line before setting up Bobby MacIntyre for a one-timer to put the Giants ahead at 52:44. Tedesco himself scored the home side's fourth at 54:03 o na 2-on-1 rush, before wrapping-around on Nolan Kent at 57:41 to settle the points for the hosts.
