Game recap

The Dundee Stars bounced back from Friday night's defeat in Belfast by thrashing local rivals Fife Flyers in Kirkcaldy to record their first win of the season.

After a scoreless opening period, it was Dundee who broke the deadlock through Sebastian Bengtsson while Erik Naslund sat for interference. Timi Lahtinen doubled that lead at 28:19, and 52 seconds before the period was out Dylan Lawrence made it three, completing a trio of goals for the visitors in under 11 minutes.

Philippe Sanche made it four early in the third, and although Michael McNicholas pulled one back for the hosts goals from Spencer Dorowicz and another from Sanche led the Stars to an emphatic 6-1 win in front of 1565 people at the Fife Ice Arena.
