Goals and assists
Cardiff Devils used their game in hand over Belfast to full effect by extending their lead at the top of the Elite League to four points, thanks to a two-goal road win over Fife.
Leading 1-0 after 20 minutes thanks to Evan Mosey’s goal at 15:47, the Devils were then pulled back to one each after two periods as Marcus Basara levelled the game at 37:45.
Fife then took the lead 24 seconds into the third through Joe Basaraba, but the visitors responded through Layne Ulmer a little over six minutes later. Gleason Fournier hit the game winner at 54:05, and despite a late penalty on Stephen Dixon the Devils sealed the points with a Sean Bentivoglio shorthanded empty-netter with 1:28 to go.
Cardiff are back on the ice tomorrow as they host Guildford, while Fife now prepare for two meetings with Sheffield over the weekend
