Manchester continued their excellent start to 2019 with a victory over Guildford live on FreeSports, going on to 37 points and entering a three-way tie for the last two playoff positions.
Dane Byers gave the hosts a lead midway through the opening period, doubled just under 20 minutes later by Chance Braid. When Ciaran Long made it 3-0 with 32:55 played the home side looked to be set for a routine win.
However Guildford came back in the final period with goals ten minutes or so apart – Kruise Reddick made it interesting at 47:20 with the first on the powerplay, and then struck again 2:44 from the end to bring the visitors back to within one. However Manchester held on to make it four wins in a row, and five of six in 2019.
