Goals and assists
A great weekend for Dundee Stars who followed up their win in Sheffield last night with a home 6-1 win over the Steelers in the DIA.
The Stars carried on where they’d left off the night before, hitting two goals in the opening period to lead by a pair at the first break thanks to Brian Hart and Matt Bissonnette. Matt Marquardt then hit a double in 21 seconds to put the hosts four up with only 27:10 played.
Josh Pitt got the visitors on the board 38 seconds later, but at 36:16 Bissonnette struck again to put the Stars into a comfortable 5-1 lead. Charles Corcoran made it 6-1 8:41 into the final period as the Stars ran out with a big 6-1 win to go up into the playoff places.
