Six players are nominated.

Viktor Fasth
His outstanding goalkeeping took Sweden all the way to the final in the WC and he was also given most valuable player award and the best goalkeeper of the tournament award. Of course he was also on the All Star Team. A GAA on 1.71 and a save percentage on 94,6 % is great numbers for a goalkeeper that made his first World Championship after his first season at elite level at the age of 28.

Mikael Granlund
At the age of 19 he scored the most spectacular goal at the World Championship  (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sBfEsBqoU7c). He won gold with Finland at the WC and HIFK in the Finnish SM-Liiga. He had two goals and seven assists in the WC tournament and had two goals and eight assists in the eight playoff games he played in April.

Jarkko Immonen
Scoring nine goals and three assists he was the top point scorer and goal scorer of the tournament when Finland won the World Championship. He was also one of the players in the Media All Star Team.

André Rankel

André Rankel was one of the best players when Eisbären Berlin won the DEL playoffs. He scored six goals and four assists in the seven playoff games played in April. In the three final games he had three goals and three assists.  He also played for Germany at the World Championship where he had one goal and two assists.

Anders Bastiansen
Was one of the best players on the Norwegian that did a very good World Championship campaign. He had three goals and four assists. He also was a big part in Färjestad's win of the Swedish championship scoring three goals in five final games.

Jaromir Jagr
Still going very strong at the age of 39 he scored five goals and four assists at the World Championships. That gave him the best forward of the tournament award and a spot on the All Star Team. He was also the top scorer of the Czech Hockey Games with two goals and four assists in three games.
