Great Britain wins WC division 1A and is promoted to the 2024 World Championship together with Poland.

On home ice in Nottingham team GB secured promotion and the gold medals by beating Italy in the final game of the tournament 5-3. Cade Neilson and Brett Perlini both had two goals on route to the win between the two teams that were relegated from the World Championship a year ago. And while the Brits earned promotion back again it was a big dissapointment for Italy miss out and finish in third place.

Instead Poland is back on the top level for the first time in 21 years. After playing in Division 1B last year the Poles managed to earn back to back promotions. A 4-2 win against Italy on day three was the key to success but a 6-2 win against Romania on last day secured promotion for Poland. Krystian Dziubinski was a leading player with 11 points in 5 games. Poland only lost one game and that was against Team GB after overtime.

Korea finished in fourth place, while Romania was fifth and Lithuania was relegated to Division 1B after losing all games, but it was a close call since they only 2-3 and 1-2 against Romania and Korea.
