Swiss ice hockey gets new structure

Today, Wednesday, 4 May 2011, has the Swiss National Hockey League GmbH debated the organizational realignment of Swiss ice hockey in Bern. After consulting the members of the National League and the subsequent vote, the decision was made: The National League Ltd., has agreed to, as the Regional League Two months earlier, the proposals of the Board of Directors of Swiss ice hockey. From June 1st 2011 all activities of Swiss Ice Hockey will be situated together under one roof.
In the recent months Swiss Ice Hockey worked hard on two strategic projects. After the positive vote decision about the National Training Center in Winterthur, the National League GmbH assembly has approved the proposals of the Swiss Ice Hockey Board of Directors regarding the new organizational structure. It follows the Swiss Ice Hockey Regional League, which already had taken the same positive decision early in March.
The merging of Regio League, National League and Swiss Ice Hockey Association will take place on June 1st 2011.
