Russia comes back from 0-3 to win 5-4 after overtime against Switzerland while Finland easily beat Sweden.
Michelle Karvinen scored two goals within the first seven minutes for Finland. After that Sweden could never come back and Finland cruised for an easy quarter final victory and will play Canada in the semi final. Another big dissapointment for 2006 Olympic silver medalist Sweden.
In the other semi final hosts Switzerland had a solid 3-0 lead against Russia with only 13 minutes left to play. But Russia rallied with four goals in seven minutes to overtake the lead. But Switzerland's Stefanie Marty tied the game in the last minute and took the game to overtime. Three minutes into the overtime Tatyana Burina scored the game winner for Russia. Russia will now play USA in the semi final.
In the relegation round Slovakia won the first of the best of three games relegation round with 1-0 against Kazakhstan.
