Yunost completes campaign with perfect record

With Yunost and Sheffield Steelers already qualified, the last game between the Belarusian team and Rungsted is just for the statistics and the last chance for home team to grab a victory in front of fans.

Again without injured players – Mikael Christiansen and William Madsen for Danish and Nikita Mitskevich for Yunost – and back up goalies in the net, the teams don’t save energy, with Marcus Nielsen opening the score after 01;17 deflecting the puck in Shibanov’s net after a confusing situation in front of the goalie. Even with a superior skill, Yunost doesn’t find the right way to threat Feuk: Danish goalie makes not difficult saves in the first period, unlike his colleague, very reactive at minute 17 on Mattias Persson. Different plot in the secod period, with Yunost much more aggressive: after two attempts by Zakharov and Kogalev,24:50 with same Kogalev, stopped by Feuk, the deserved goal comes at 24:50 with same Kogalev, wilful in recovering a puck in Danish defense. After a great chance by Runsted on a counterattack, again Kogalev finalizes the lethal Belarusian power-play netting the second goal at 32:21.

With this victory Yunost seals a perfect campaign, leaving the impression to be the favourite to win the 20^th edition of the Continental.
