Mora back in SHL

Mora sends local rivals down to Allsvenskan and promotes to Sweden's top league for the first time since the 2007/2008 season.

It's only about 70 km between Leksand and Mora so it's was a classic local rivalry derby over best of seven games about a place in next season's SHL that was played. Mora won Sweden's second league HockeyAllsvenskan while Leksand who promoted to SHL last year had finished last in SHL.

But when the series started you coldn't tell that Mora was the team that came from a lower division. Lead by a 32 year Canadian head coach, Jeremy Colliton Mora was the better team and in the end they won the series 4-2 and winning the sixth game 5-1 at home in front of an enthusiastic crowd. A success for Mora that will be playing in Sweden's top league for the first time in 10 years.

For Leksand it is another sad story, for the fifth time in the 2000's the classic club has been relegated, can they get back up again?

In the other playoff series Rögle defeated BIK Karlskoga in four straight games and will remain in SHL.
