Sheffield Steelers announce their latest contract extension.
The Sheffield Steelers are unusually busy for this time of year as they have increased the number of their contract extensions to four with a new three year deal being given to British international Robert Dowd. This comes hot on the heals of Guillaume Desbiens contract extension of a year for the French Canadian winger. Last month Steelers announced a new one year deal with Tyler Mosienko and recently secured the services of Defenceman Zack Fitzgerald for the next couple of years.
This, with the likes of Mathieu Roy and Ben O'Connor being within contract means that coach Paul Thompson has retained a decent core of staff for the next season already.
