Both players will go down in ice hockey history, but who is better? Both players have dominated the NHL for over 10 years and both of their stats are incredible.
When it comes to goals Ovechkin dominates, but many people believe that Crosby is the better overall player. For goals, Ovechkin had 475 goals at the end of the 2014-2015 season and he continues to add to that total. However, over the last 10 years it is Crosby who leads the way on assists.
Everyone has an opinion on who they think is better and it really does depend on which style you prefer.The influence of these two players extends far beyond ice hockey and both players contribute to many charities around the world. Crosby donates to children's charities and donated the proceeds from the winning gold medal at the Olympics to the Sidney Crosby Foundation.
