Djurgårdens IF, Skellefteå AIK and Växjö Lakers all won their games in tonights round of CHL. But it were tough games for them all.

Tappara Tampere-Djurgårdens IF

Djurgården got their revenge against Tappara as they won 3-2 in overtime. Djurgården put pressure at Tapparas zone right away and they got rewarded with an early penalty and a goal by Henrik Eriksson. The visitors continued to pressure the hometeam and it took over five minutes before Tappara came in to offensive zone and could create a chance. Djurgården played with intensity, puckmovement and agression and dominnated the first period.

In the second, Djurgården wasn't as intense as in the first period and the gameplay equlized. Tappara could through Nick Plastino score the equlizer. Djurgården never came back to their first period play, but could with a little luck by Linus Hultström take the lead once again. The happiness didn't last long though, due to Nick Plastinos' second goal of the night, who meant 2-2.

The third act became an equal one and it wasn't much of a beauty. A lot of penalties and a fight lead to overtime. Djurgården started the overtime in powerplay and Sallinen became the hero when he scored the game-winning goal.

Tappara Tampere-Djurgårdens IF 2-3 (0-1, 2-1, 0-0,0-1)
Tappara scorer: Nick Plastino (2)
Djurgården scorers: Henrik Eriksson (PP1), Linus Hultström, Tomi Sallinen (PP1, OT)

Skellefteå AIK-HK Nitra

Skellefteå had a significantly tougher game tonight against HK Nitra than in the first game. Skellefteå dominated the game right from the start and crated great opportunities, but the visitors keeper played big. Skellefteå was controlling the game and scored early by Janne Pesonen. Peter Konig, HK Nitra scored the equlizer and Nitra also took the lead 2-1 by Marek Slovak in powerplay.

Skellefteå continued to play with intensity and finess and by Jimmie Eriksson, the hometeam could equlize the game 15.44 in the first period. The second and third periods was scoreless and so was the overtime and it would take to the 12th round in the shootout, before Terry Broadhurst could give Skellefteå the extra pointer. By Skellefteås' win tonight, they are through to the next round.

Skellefteå AIK-HK Nitra 3-2 (2-2, 0-0, 0-0, 0-0, 0-1)
Skellefteå scorers: Janne Pesonen, Jimmie Eriksson, Terry Broadhurst (SO)
HK Nitra Scorers: Peter Konig, Marek Slovak

Växjö Lakers-ERC Ingolstad

The reigning SHL-champions had tough game against ERC Ingolstad tonight. Especially if you compare with the game against Braehead Clan. Växjö controlled tonights battle and pressured Ingolstad at long times. But the German team wasn't harmless. Most of the times they visited Växjös' zone, they created opportunities and made Christoffer Nihlstorp in the net make some great saves.

The game was intensed and physical and Växjö couldn't relax one bit. But after 60 minutes of play, the Swedes could win their second straight game and only need one more point to secure a playoff spot.

Växjö Lakers-ERC Ingolstad 4-2 (1-1, 2-1, 1-0)
Växjö Scorers: Robert Rosen, Toumas Kiiskinen, Calle Rosen, Liam Reddox
Ingolstad scorers: Brandon Buck, John Laliberte
